Good quality book, in every respect
First, let me say from the top that this book is physically well-constructed. Strong pages, durable binding. Can't get better than that.
Each page has one sentence on it, counting down from ten kisses at the start to one kiss at the end. They also have (though this is subtle) a number of hearts corresponding to the number of kisses.
Very short, very simple, very sweet and (if you don't go overboard with your own kissing) very calm.
Counting Kisses. Read it, do it, love it! Priceless!
Even at five years old, my son loves it when we read Count Kisses. We read each page then count the kisses. We just fall into giggling, tickling, kissing fun. Daddy will even join in the fun. It's those moments as a Mom you will just treasure in your heart forever.
This book is just precious. Would make a GREAT baby shower gift. Who wouldn't enjoy sneaking in kisses on their baby's toes, knees, tummy, chin, hands, eyelids, and their precious round heads? Again and again and again?
The art is adorable, the writing is simple. The kisses are priceless.

Great book for babies and the illustrations are beautifully done. Love the grandma tickling the baby while the baby is pulling grandma's hair!! Just what happens with me and my grandbaby
A big hit with my 19-months old
My daughter loves reading this book, she learned the word "kiss" from it, so often she brings it to me or her Daddy saying "kiss-kiss-kiss" and delights in us reading it and tickling her with kisses. She also likes to recognize the baby, the cat, the dog in the book.
I kind of see what the reviewer who called this book "too wordy" is talking about - she uses a new adjective to describe a kiss every time (loud, wet), we naturally don't go drooling on our daughter to make that happen, so we could do without the descriptions, but it does not in any way take away from the enjoyment of the book.
I like the fact that it also teaches numbers and body parts.
Overall, a great value and one of the nicest baby books, interactive seems to be a safe bet with most babies!
Another great one from Karen Katz
Karen Katz is my favorite young children's author. Her books are very colorful and encourage interaction between the child and the reader.
This book has helped my 18 month old son learn his body parts (we kiss the body parts as we read each page) and also is helping him learn to count to ten.
He laughs every time we read it together, especially when it's time to kiss his "teeny tiny toes"
This book can hold his attention for longer than most books, and can easily stand up to my little "book villin" who loves to rip out the pages.
