The air-ball broke in 1 week.
I don't recommend it. The air-ball broke in 1 week. Our baby-boy didn't even have fun playing with it. He just likes the carpet for the colors...
Good but a little pricey.
This is one of my 7 month old niece's favorite toys. Her parents keep it over her grandma's house and whenever the adults want to hang around and do nothing, we pull out the Kick & Crawl Aquarium so the baby can play.
Let's talk about the positives first. Little Sofia likes to sit between the two arches and hold the toys in her hands and just stare at them. Her favorites are the ball and the fish. She likes to hit the ball and watch it move. With the fish, she just likes to stare at it and touch it. Another positive is that the toys are detachable so if the baby is lying on the mat and can't reach the higher toys, you can switch them around so that they're lower to the floor. Lastly, in terms of looks, it's just a really cute looking toy. The actual mat is sparkly and has fish all over it. Sofia likes to stare at the fish on the mat when we point them out to her.
Now for the negatives. I can only really think of two negatives about this toy. First, the actual mat isn't all that thick and my niece has fallen over (she can't sit up perfectly yet) and hit her head. I don't blame her falling on the toy but I just sort of wish it was a little thicker considering it's meant for a baby. Second, it's a bit pricey considering what we personally use it for. When she was smaller, the toy was useless because she didn't like to reach up for the toys. Other reviewers mentioned that it's a great toy for crawlers but Sofia is one of those babies that is going to skip crawling altogether so it's not all that useful in our case.
Bottom line, if you're looking for a mat for your baby, consider this one but note that there are probably better mats out there for the same price.
Kick and Crawl
I bought this for my daughter when she was a baby and she loved it. When she could crawl she enjoyed it a bunch, with the see through hole. It is a lot of fun for the young ones. I would recommend it to parents!
One year later, she still loves it
We received this at our baby shower and set it up when Danica was 4 weeks old. At first she would just stare at the toys. One day she reached for them. Another day she touched one. Another day she grabbed it. One day she got the music to sound. One day she was tall enough to touch the toys and kick the ball at the same time. It was so exciting watching her development with this toy. After she could sit up, she loved ripping the toys off by their velcro. When she started crawling, she would take the ball off and carry it around in her hand. She is now walking and she uses this as her private cabana. I give her a snack and she sneaks away to this (set in the crawl position). I've uploaded a picture of her sitting in it up-side-down like a boat, watching Backyardigans, so check above. She loves sitting in it when it is turned like this. I have promised this toy to so many people, thinking that she will outgrow it soon. She turns a year next week and she shows no signs of getting bored with it. She has found new and, quite unexpected, way to play with it. It has grown with her well beyond my imagination. She has outgrown her crib, her walker, her exersaucer, and her bouncy chair. This toy has outlasted them all!
Not the best choice
This seemed like a great idea since we had all the other aquarium stuff!! However Trey did not like being on the floor too much!!! He got bored quickly!!
